I love to see the Temple...lights.

Jeron took today off work so as soon as the kids got home we headed down to Temple Square. No one told us that the lights don't come on until 6pm. OOPS! It actually worked out well. We went and saw the Statue of Christ first. I have never been there on a Monday night and it not be packed. Pays to go early. We talked to the sister missionaries. They loved our kids. They asked JJ what is his favorite part of Christmas and he said "the story of the baby Jesus." He isn't just trying to win points either. My kids love the toys but they love the Santa part but they truly love the Birth of Christ. This makes my heart happy.
Once the lights turned on we went out and braved the cold. And boy was it cold. We thought it might not be cold but we were wrong. A strong wind set in and it was cold. Did I mention it was cold.

Elsie LOVED it. This picture is how she looked most of the time.

JJ being to cool for pictures.

Emma is always willing to pose for my shots I want to take. Thank heaven for her.

The Temple pic with Mommy

I really love this pic. I wish that I could have has all of us in it. I wish we could have all been in pretty Christmas outfits. This works though. It is all my most favorite people in the whole wide world though. That makes it perfect.
Ellie was just as happy as Elsie. Her picture is not flattering at all. I decided not to post it. She was there though, not happy, and crying fun for all.

You know I always love the temple square pictures. Somehow we've missed it the past two years and it's one of my favorite things of the season. My husband is kind of a "bah humbug" when it comes to gathering all of the children together on a freezing cold outdoor adventure. I loved your pictures, though, and it makes me determined to get there this year!!

Megan, I was just saying that of all the things I truly miss about Utah, the lights at Temple Square at Christmas are definately up top. I somehow just don't think it can be truly Christmas without visiting the temple and the lights there. I loved your pictures. Thank you for posting them, I almost feel like It can be Christmas now!
