Cabin Fever

We got to go to one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people.  We had a big sleepover.  It really was a great time.  One of the best spots is playing in the creek.

Apparently Elsie is aging quickly.

We love sitting next to the fire and talking and laughing.  Especially when you are scaring the crap out of your little sister.

Maren really has turned into a city slicker.  She was certain there was a bear.  We all had a little fun with this.  I think we even had Ryan freaked out.  

At least Lucy was brave.  She kept telling Maren not to be scared.

It was so much fun to sleep over at the cabin.  We slept on the porch with all of our kids.

Spending some much needed time at the cabin is good for EVERYONE'S soul.

Macky Moo is turning Two

It was Mac's big birthday party today.  I can't believe this little guy is turning two.  He is such a cutie.  We all just adore him.  Tara threw him a Dr. Seuss Party.  It was such a fun party.  She did a great job.  The kids had a great time.  They even got a book.  

We all really enjoyed the Dr. Seuss screen.

Just a little horsey ride for his birthday

Some of us got together at my house for David's birthday.  The kids assumed this meant Horsey rides for all.  

 Ryan wanted in on this action.  He didn't want David to have all the fun.

 These boys need much longer backs.  How do you fit all the cousins if your torso isn't big enough.

Boating at Pineview with the fam

There is one thing that the Meads family is and that is boaters.  Ever since my parents got rid of the boat this title is no longer ours.  It is a title that is not that easy to let go of.  We all miss boating so much.  I personally think that is shows in my waist line as well.  We decided boat or no boat we are heading up to Pineview for the day.  My dad had other plans.  He called me while we were getting ready to let us know that he had arranged for us to have a boat.  The kids and I were so excited.  Now they get to not only go boating but they get to go with their cousins.

On the way up we had to stop and take this picture.  The scenery is stunning on your way to Pineview.  

We had to wait a bit for the boat so the kids played on the shore.  They had a great time.  It was a bit hard with Emry because the sand was so hot.  Ellie still wouldn't get in the water.  

We were all melting on the beach.  It was a hot one.

Then it was time to get on the boat.  Once we got out to the middle everyone wanted to jump in.  We had been melting on the shore.  (everyone but Ellie and Ben)

We had a great time tubing and boating.  This is one way that the Meads know how to have fun.  We had a blast.  Thanks dad for thinking of it and being the best captain ever.  

Breakfast with the Bunch

It is so much fun to have our cousins in town.  We get extra doses of fun family time.  Look at this crazy crew.  We all headed to Granny Annie's for some delicious scone.  Mmmmm Mmmmm good.  We all love having cousin time.  And with cousins this cute, of course we love them.

 Emry was so excited to see Ben but I don't think that he feels the same.  It might have something to do with my daughters hand placement.  Sweetie that is a little to friendly.  

 I think these two are just about the cutest cousins there ever was.  We just love our Lucy. 

 It was so much fun to just go up to Mama and papa's and play in the yard together.
