We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We had one of our best ones yet. Jeron and I really toned things down this year. We didn't go overboard on the gifts for the kids, and it felt better. They were not overwhelmed, like every other year. On Christmas Eve we always go to Jeron's Dads. We spent a couple of hours with them. We really like the time we spend with Viki's kids. They are a lot of fun. The kids got sled which they love. It was fast out time with them, but it was fun. Later that night our own little family had a Christmas Eve spread and watched The Christmas Story. Then we heard the Elf ring bells so the kids had to hurry and get ready for bed. Oops, Mom and Dad forgot to watch the Nativity so we had to settle down again and do that. This is one of our favorite traditions. We play Breath of Heaven, by Amy Grant and use it as the sound to the Nativity. It is really touching. We finally got the kids down and Jeron and I got to work. We watched Polar Express, and went to bed at 2:30. We woke up at 6:45 on Christmas. We read Luke II and then see if Santa has come. We enjoyed our morning with just our family. About 9:00 we went to my parents and had breakfast and opened presents. It was a really good time. I loved having Maren, Ryan, and David here. I really miss them when they are gone. Smitty and Ashlee went to Seattle. They were missed a lot. We love our gift form them. They got us a gift certificate to the movies. Jeron and I can go on a couple of dates. Date whats that? My parents and siblings got the kids way to much. Then we went to Jeron's Moms house. We ate turkey dinner and opened presents. Again the kids got way spoiled. Jeron's siblings went overboard with all of us. We felt kind of bad that we couldn't do as much. We love it though. Everyone came except Julie and Todd. My kids really miss their cousins especially on holidays. We hope they had a Merry Christmas. All in all it was a very fun Christmas. I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did. Merry Christmas.

Lights on Temple Square

The kids in front of the temple.

"We love to see the Temple,We'll go inside someday."

Ellie was not all that impressed with the lights. She did love the temple though. Also the Christus. The camera died so we only got these pictures. Jeron and I were there and yes we did see lights. Just no pictures of any.

Christmas Dance Recital

Ellie and Emma looking beautiful.

Emma is an old pro at this now.

Ellie's First recital

Emma and Ellie just had their Christmas Ballet recital. Emma did very well. Her class looks so much better then last time. Not that they looked bad. They have just improved. This was Ellie's first time to have a recital. I had many sleepless nights before the performance. I was worried she would lay down and be nervous, or be made fun of. All of my worrying was not needed. She got out there and danced just as well as all the other girls. She was probably the most dramatic. My favorite part was when it was time to go off stage she didn't want to. The dance teacher had to come and get her. As she went off she had another round of applause all for her. I of course started to cry. It was very touching. She even got a "Way to go Ellie!" Shout out. Granted it was Joy Bouck my good friend, but it still was nice. At the end of the performance all of the classes come out and take a bow. Emma's class was hilarious. They did their straight leg circle skip 5 times compared to one time for the others. It was really cute. Then Ellie's class came out, Ellie went right to the edge of the stage waved and YELLED hello to everyone over and over and over. Then she laid down and waved to all of the people in the front row. It was so cute. All in all it was a really wonderful time. I will post pictures tomorrow.

First Christmas Snow Fall

Ellie decided that she wanted to help her Daddy shovel the snow. She got out one of the yard shovels and started helping. She is so stinkin cute
.
Our little Snow angel Emma loved the first snow fall. She had a wonderful time running and playing in the snow.

JJ had it in his mind that he was going to build a slide. We have some wicked rocks to sled down so he used them to slid down all day.

Ellie and her boyfriend Jackson Weir

This is Ellie's friend Jackson. He is one of our favorite 3 year olds in the world. They have grown up together. I just wanted to post him on our blog so Ellie could brag that she has a cute boyfriend. (I think his girlfriend is pretty darn cute also.)

Tag your it!

Links to this post

Calee Richards tagged me, and I must comply!
Instructions:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).
3. Tag random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
So here are 7 random facts about me:

1. I love the winter months more than any other. I love the fact that it gets dark so early.

2. I am very OCD about my laundry. It has to look beautiful. I have told Jeron when I die you have to show everyone my drawers so that they think that I actually did something right.

3. I hate with a passion my addiction to Diet Coke, raisins, olives, ugly rude people, and BYU(one in the same with ugly rude people... ha ha). If your ugly you at least need to be nice. I know I am horrible, and thanks to Maren I remembered that I can not touch cotton balls, and JJ loves to bite on his shirt to drive me crazy(I'm cringing right now) Watch Elf, when he eats the cotton I about die.

4. I have to record all my shows so that I can watch them without my kids

5. I always have grand ideas that would be so fun to do but usually forget to do them.
example: Last year for Christmas I wanted to make all of my sisters and Mom scrapbooks for the year. Cute Idea so do you think it happened Nope. Sorry girls.

6. I love and I mean love Training Table Cheese Fries. I think I would request them for my last meal. With a diet coke to wash it down.

7. I am the worst speller in the world. So when you see spelling mishaps on my blog just smile and know that I am smart, just that part of me is stupid.

I tag Maren, Mom (Marj), and Nichole

Ouch! To put it mildly.

Seriously, I have to deal with BYU fans for another year. It sucks to listen to them act like they had the game the whole time. Utah let them win and for that I am disappointed in my team. Never would I change my love for Utah, but right now all I can think is 4th and 18. Who in their right mind doesn't think it will be a pass? Those refs made a horrible call. Pass interference should never have been called. That decided the game. So again a sucky ending to an almost win. The Utes held their own against BYU though. UTAH #1 always and forever

I think the baby is trying to have a truce with me. That is why she is giving me the peace sign! Isn't she adorable.

Jeron got his buck.

Jeron has his first kill. He had to hit it with a car, but it still was a 4 point. I think he was real proud of himself until he realized it was a $500 kill. Our car looks horrible. I am just glad nobody got hurt. The Gough's (our neighbors) were in the car at the time. Everyone was okay. That is except for the poor deer.

GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!

Utah football is underway. It started out a little rocky but now the Utes are doing great. The Utah vs BYU game is coming up in two weeks. I think it is shaping up to be a pretty great game. Of course Utah is going to win!. I love this picture of my kids. They are true Ute fans no thanks to their Dad. Jeron is a life long BYU fan. I know how in the world can anyone be a BYU fan. Come game day our house is in an intense battle. RED vs. BLUE I always win though. The kids help by letting me paint their faces. I love U honey will be the sign in my window. To all you crazy fans out there I hope your having a great season. I know I am. Go Utes!!!!!!!!!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Yes, if you are wondering I have Christmas music going whenever Jeron isn't home. I love this time of year. I get all excited come October 1st. Halloween goes up and I am set. Well this year I was not feeling all that well do to a certain growth in me. Some call it a baby, right now it is more of a parasite to me. Don't worry I love this little parasite. Anyway, so when October hit and I wasn't feeling well and I was really bummed about it. I wondered if I would be able to enjoy this season. About a week before Halloween I had a little talk with myself, and decided to quit being such a freakin' baby and get over it. Yes, I am still sick. Mentally I am doing much better. I ended up having a wonderful Halloween. We carved pumpkins on Monday night before Halloween and my kids were so excited that it made me get in the mood of the season. We had a great time with the kids on Halloween. I was a Gypsy(a very large belly one), JJ was a Vampire, Emma and Ellie were Twitches. For all of you without Disney Channel that is twin witches. They all looked awesome if I do say so myself. We had our family up for dinner on Halloween night and had a wonderful time. Some of the Grandparents came dressed up and looked awesome. Gene and Jan want to make it mandatory that you have to dress up for our Halloween dinner. I think this is a fabulous idea.
Needless to say I am totally in the holiday spirit now. I hope everyone of you is having the most wonderful time of year. Happy Holidays.
