Easter Sunday with Mama and Papa

After church we headed over to Papa and Mama's for dinner and the kids got to get their Easter goodies.  Mama and Papa always get them a church book.  I am so glad that they do this because thanks to them we have a pretty great collection.  It was a nice relaxing Easter.  It was also fun to hang out with the fam.

 I love this picture.

 Emry opening her Easter book
The Easter bunny always hides their things at Mama and papa's.  Ellie was so proud when she found her book.
Emma always has a hard time finding hers.  I think she thinks it is in the zero gravity zone.  haha
JJ found his finally.  He may or may not have needed help.
Elsie did a great job and found hers.
Papa always hides the things for the kids.  Emma needed a little help to find hers.
Papa to the rescue.
Emry loves her daddy.  Up up and...
 AWAY!
She loves it.
What is Easter without a little lip action.
We had a great time.  I sure do with that this picture had three more kids in it, someday...

Hoppy Easter

We had a fast Easter morning.  Hurry find the eggs and basket, hurry and do the treasure hunt, and hurry and get ready for church.  Hurry, hurry hurry!!!

Ellie was thrilled with her goldfish crackers.
Elsie was excited about her swimsuit
Poppins was pretty excited about her first big Easter
 and she is STILL looking
A basket for Easter that is both useful and pleasing to the eye.  haha
It is about time.  I think she might look for things with her eyes closed.
Elsie is helping Ellie look for her egg.
 Emry loved her basket
this year we did an Easter egg hunt outside.  The kids had to find eggs.

Ahhh, helping Ellie.  What a good big brother.
Working together to find them all.
 Cutie
 This is tough work
Once they got all the eggs gathered they had to unscrabble the letters and find out what it spelled out.
It was tough work and lets face it, the wait was killing me...and Jeron.
We may have helped them along.  They were so excited about what they figured out.
We are heading to California in 28 days.  Wahoo!!!

After all was said and done Elsie ended up getting sick, and so we stayed home.  That meant no Easter pics with all the kids.  JJ had to hurry to YM so I was only able to get Ellie and Emma.

Love my pretty girls.  I can't believe that I didn't put Emry in her Easter dress.

Easter with Grandma and Grandpa

This year Grandma Jan and Grandpa Gene decided to have their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.  I was so grateful for this.  It was so nice to celebrate with the family and not feel rushed to leave because we had other obligations.  Plus, Easter is about Christ so I was glad to do the fluff on another day.

The kids love Grandma's Easter Egg hunt.  It is something they look forward to every Easter.   First off it is fun, and if they do it right they get some good stuff.

Ellie is cute.  The egg could be staring her in the face and she doesn't see it.
My poor kids have a crappy mom.  I was suppose to bring them an Easter basket so that they could put their loot in them.  I maybe forgot.  So they got these lovely sacks instead.
 Brock is having  great time.
Ellie look I see one right in front of you.
Emma, JJ, Kylie, and Courtney were to get high ones only.  As you can see it didn't slow this lady down.
Look Megan the Easter bunny even left Jeron a treasure.
Elsie was doing so good.  She was cute though.  She would point to some for Ellie.
 And Another one.
 KyKy found a cute treasure.
Mac was good to Find, open, and eat.  Best way if you ask me.
JJ was pretty tricky.  He knew he wanted money.  He also knew that Emma wanted the candy.  So he would find an egg up high, take the money but leave the candy for Emma.  It was actually pretty sweet of him.  He also left the pretty eggs as he called them for Emma to find.  Poor guy didn't know that each of those eggs could be claimed for a dollar each.
It was fun to spend time with everyone.

Easter Prep

This year the count of eggs was 6 per person.  That means we dyed 52 eggs.  Who can eat 52 hard boiled eggs.  The kids felt like that wasn't fair.  They have normally done more.  They think a dozen, I think not.  We just felt 6 was a good round number.  They had fun making them.  We did have the typical broken eggs that happened but for the most part it was a good time.

Emma is very creative in her decorating.
Elsie was allowed to do it on her own for the first time so this was exciting for her.
This was Emry's first time and she wasn't sure what to think of it.
It is pretty typical to have an extra child here or five.  Tonight is just happened to be Emma's friend Megan.
Ellie had a lot of fun and she knew what she wanted and it was certainly not help from Jeron or me.
JJ is always the messiest and the last to be done.  He gets really into it.  I tried to explain he would have to pass the sacrament the next morning but those fingers were still black when he finished.
Here we are together, together, together, oh here we are together...
Emry looks bound and determined to get those eggs.
Emma and Emry getting some sister loves.
Hey guys, I am confused.  So the bunny wants me to get in my basket and he will bring me candy?
Okay, I think I got this.  I am ready for that bunny to come.
Now it is off to bed so that we can have  fun filled day tomorrow.
