I have been friends with Jana for a while. We have kids all around the same age. We always wanted our kids to get along so you can imagine how thrilled I am that Anneka and Emma are just like Jana and I. When ever they get together it is like they never were apart. The two of them make me smile when they are together.

JJ's Birthday Party

JJ had a fairly large turn out for his birthday. He always seems to bring the crowds. He had a lot of fun and got a lot of money. He was so excited. Every time he opened a card with money he would hurry and add it to the money he already had. He totaled out at $150. Man that kid is rich. He loved everything he got. He especially was glad to get his Indiana Jones Lego's DS. Thanks Mama and Papa. I think the DS has been taken away since his birthday though...so not much playing time. He wanted a soccer cake for his birthday. He saw how I was making it and asked me to change it a little. His wish was my command, and wallah we had a fully round soccer ball. Jeron said it needed to be pumped up. It looks really cool from far away, but once you get up close it is pretty sad.

With the large gathering we couldn't fit in our itty bitty kitchen so we blew out candles in the family room. On his actual birthday he didn't have the strength to blow out all nine candles so we were hoping this time he could. And yes he did. He was sick on his actual birthday. When he went to blow he coughed instead.

We were able to get a picture of everyone that came except Julie and Kylie. They left before Mom found her brain. I guess standing in a kitchen making a cake all day fries the brain. Griffin, Jana and Graydon were all there as well.

John Actually did come by on JJ's birthday but we didn't take a pic then.
So we got it on Emma's B-day.

Same thing with Smitty and Ashlee.

Thank you all for coming...see you in two weeks for another two birthdays.

Emma and the missing teeth!

Okay so we have lost yet another tooth. Emma had gone to bed and came in and said Mom, my tooth is really loose. I gave it a quick yank and out it came. I am getting pretty good at this. Of course we put it in water and the tooth fairy was...

RED!

Pretty soon this little gal won't be able to eat anything. She has three more that are on their way out.

Ellie's Gift

Recently I found out about an article in the Deseret News. It was titled Down Syndrome a Modern Day Death Sentence. It talks about how with all the modern technology that people are now finding out in utero when their baby has Down Syndrome. Most people are opting to abort at this point. This has been something that I have heard about, but never done anything to change it. Once I found out about the article I realized that I needed to do something. I have decided to inform as many as I can. I am starting by creating a blog titled Ellie's Gift. I would love any input and ideas from all of my smart friends and family. If you know of a story that should be shared please leave a comment or email me. Wish me luck!

Please link to Ellie's Gift and check it out. If you would like to put this blog on your blog lists I would appreciate it. Thanks for caring so much about our Angel.

JJ is NINE!

I don't think JJ had the birthday he had planned. All day long he was cold. Not really a good sign. He went out with Jeron to buy some shoes. When he got home he was really run down. A little while later he came to me and had a fever. We got some Motrin in him and headed out to Training Table. (his favorite) We came home and ate cake and ice cream. I let him stay home from school because it was his big day. I guess it was a good thing. He was sick already. Poor guy. He did enjoy the day a little though. He got a chess set for his birhtday, some puzzles, a soccer ball, clothes, and a pencil holder for his desk. That was all he wanted. Happy birthday to our favorite son and brother in the whole world.

Happy Birthday JJ

I can't believe our oldest kid is nine years old. We have loved having JJ from the start. He was born with such a big personality and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. He is a VERY smart, talented, charming, handsome, annoying, fun, energetic, crazy boy. He keeps us on our toes at all times. He harasses his sisters relentlessly, and than plays with them for hours. He has a very tender heart and wants the best for people. He is always so concerned about others feeling. He loves to serve people and do things to make people happy. We love you JJ and are so glad you are in our family.

Ellie and Elsie have become very good friends whenever they can do something that is mischievous. Ellie is teaching Elsie all of her tricks. I have always wanted twins and I think they just came to me at different times. They are both doing the same things together right now. I really feel for Moms with twins now. Just keeping up with them is a full time job. I will have to day though that they do bring a smile to my face all of the time. They are both so sticken cute.

Yesterday Emma and I were singing primary songs. (Music for Latter-Day Saint Children) We were singing a song titled "Jesus Once Was A Little Child" When we sang that line Emma just as serious as could be sang "Jesus once was a little lamb." She got it mixed up with Mary Had A Little Lamb. We got a good chuckle out of this.

Then later that night JJ was filling out a form asking for his information. Here is what he put.

Last Name: Snow
First Name: Jeron
Middle Name: Mathe (It's Matthew)
Date of Birth: 2000\2\25

Do you see why I thought it was funny? All I can say is whew...boy am I glad. Hope he keeps saying "No" when asked about sex:)

Mother of the Year!

HOLD the phone...no need to wonder anymore...I have just won MOTHER OF THE YEAR! Just wait, you will have to agree with me on this one.

It is Ellie's preschool day. I get her all ready. Dress her in a really cute outfit. Pink was the mood of the day. Do her hair really cute, and get her breakfast. Bundle her up and send her to school. I walk her in hang up her coat and kiss her goodbye. Oh how sweet you are thinking, but ordinary Mom things, oh just you wait! I then ask one of the Moms to take her home because my car isn't starting very easily. I go home and take a nap...YES! I was able to take a half hour nap. When the doorbell rings I go to welcome my sweet angel home. She walks in with the biggest grin on her face holding...

What is that...a VALENTINE'S sack! Oh S#!$! I totally forgot to send her with her Valentine's. She is my one kid that can't say "oh, Mom you forgot to get Valentine's." Oh ya I took a freakin' nap while my daughter had to sit and watch everyone else hand out Valentine's because her lame Mom can't remember to put hers in her bag and doesn't even register that it is the Valentine's party. OH my, do I feel the guilt for this one. I don't think the Mother of the Year Committee will be knocking down my door this year. Hey at least she was in pink!?! RIGHT?

Okay I have been meaning to post this for a while now. Maybe subconsciously I don't want anyone to see it so that is why I have taken so long.

I hope your Valentines was as hot as ours!

We have three sick kids with fevers ranging from 101-103.5 I think it was our hottest Valentine's yet! Nothing says I love you like "here's the throw up bowl aim for that this time...instead of me!"

first cavity for JJ

JJ has the unfortunate luck of being related to me. No matter how hard I try I ALWAYS have a cavity. Jeron on the other hand can do have the work I do and NEVER has one. NOT FAIR! Anyway it looks like JJ might just happen to take after his mother. Sorry dude. He had to have a cavity worked on and a tooth pulled. He was a champ. He never even flinched. I was very impressed. When I went into the room I see him all star trek like. He as watching a movie. (They never offered that to me the last 20 times i have been there. WHATEVER!) If any of you know JJ you will understand now why he didn't flinch. Once they put the movie on you would never have know he was even there. Way to go kids. You were so brave!

Emma is our one child that tends to ALWAYS be getting hurt. She runs into things all the time, stubs her toe, jams her fingers, hits her head. You name it Emma will hurt it. The problem with this is that she is also my one child with a bleeding disorder. This tends to worry me at times. Especially when she is at school. I always am worried that she is going to start bleeding and nobody will know.

This week at school Emma was standing perfectly still when she got run into by a poor unsuspecting boy that doesn't know he should keep a 10 foot radius around little Miss Emma. Sure enough the two collided and Emma walked away with a sweet bruise on her check. The poor little fella walked away with a missing tooth. Man they hit hard. The thing that worries me is that her teacher didn't seem to think that was a hard enough hit to call the Moms of these two kids. Come on he lost a freakin' tooth. Does anyone else consider that a hard hit? Or is it just me?

you can't really see it in the picture but the bruise is about the size of a quarter.

I always make my kids a picture to put up in their room. Well since I finally got Elsie's room turned into her room(it was my scrapbook, sewing, hording room before.)I decided to paint her a picture. Believe me I am not an artist, it is simply child like art. Maren (my sister) wanted to see it so I told her I would take a picture and post it for her.

Camera Crazy

So my parents bought me, or as my Mom would like me to say "bought Jeron and I a new camera" for Christmas. I was so excited that I couldn't see straight. I have always loved photography. I remember when I was little I thought my dad had the coolest camera and someday I would like to have one like it. Well...I do! In fact I think mine is cooler. (I can brag I didn't buy it.) Anyway when I got the camera I also got free classes with it. So every Saturday me and my good friend Shannon have been going. I love what I am learning and hopefully someday I will be able to apply it all. Here are some shots that I have taken. Remember that I am new at this...

How cute is she?!?

With a little help from photoshop this is my favorite of Ellie. I love her face.

I LOVE this one of Emma but I will have to say that I wish I knew better how to touch up because those bangs need to be cut on the side.

This is one of my favorites. I love the "golden sunlight" but I know this is an acquired taste.

Fun with photoshop!

The lighting is this was off, but with PS it is pretty cool looking I think.

The only one of JJ. He was at scouts for the other shoot. Played with PS again.

Love the shot...thanks to PS.

Another Michael(meads) pic that I thought was awesome.

Love this of the two "Boos"

This one has to be my favorite picture of all. She is a very easy subject so I can spend time practicing with her. I love this shot.

Thanks to my sister and bro-in-law I also got photoshop so I can do some fun things with that. I am an IDIOT when it comes to photoshop but I am learning and love the things that Shannon and Maren have tried to teach me. I can't wait for this to be something that I am really good at. Wish me luck.
