Day late and a dollar short

We got home so late on his birthday that we opened presents tonight.  He was thrilled with what he got.  (not really but what do you get for  the kids who doesn't even know what he wants.)

Happy 14th birthday JJ

For his birthday JJ wanted to go to the park.  It was an amazingly beautiful day so to the park we went.  JJ played a little tennis with his dad.
 Wrigley fetched the balls
It really was a perfectly wonderful time.
Elsie got in on the action.
So did Emry.
Jeron was waiting for the next serve.

We can't believe that we have a 14 year old.  It is so crazy.  He is a great kid.  We are so proud of him.  He does so well in school and really has his head on his shoulders.
Megan and Emma enjoyed the night with us as well.
Ellie didn't care about tennis as much as she did the playground.
Ellie and Elsie are the cutest of friends.
After tennis we headed over to Red Robin.  (a year ago tonight this was impossible due to a high speed chase that night.  Funny thought)
 The other half
 The littlest part
We always try to white trash any affair we go to.   This should not be any different.

We had a good night all together.  Happy birthday JJ

Wrigley's best friend

Emry loves her puppy.  If I can't find her I always know to look for Wrigley because Emry will be close by.
Wrigley looks so sad outside.  Here he is beggging to be let in with those cute puppy eyes.

One tough cookie

Today was a tough day for Miss Ellie.  Her hand has been really hurting her.  We  ended up going to the ER suspecting and infection.  It turned out to be a slight infection.  The doctor really wanted her to stop wearing her bandage so he encouraged us to take it off.   I was very nervous to let her see it for the first time.  I wondered how she would handle seeing her hand so beat up.

After she took a good long look at it she turned to Jeron and I and said "It's Okay."  As if she was letting me know she was fine and not to worry.  It was so sweet.  I love her so much.

Big day for baby girl.

The day started off a little bit on the naughty side.  I remember a certain brother of hers doing the exact same thing.  What is it with my kids and butter?
We decided to go and play at the park since it was such a nice day.  She was thrilled to get outside.

Ellie enjoyed getting out as well.  Her hand is always better when she doesn't have to think about it.

Leave it to Emry to meet a boy and then play with him the rest of the time.  She was trying her hardest to keep up with him.
After the park we headed to our friends house and took a turn on the swing.  She loves it almost as much as her big sister Elsie.  It makes me laugh and take pictures.  Poor baby.
 Save me.
 NOW!
Okay, one last picture and I will get you down.
Love you little baby.

Stitches for Emma

This poor ear has seen better days.   Wrigley got a little to excited and jumped on Emma and bit her ear.  She ended up needing to get stitches so it was down to Garners house we went.  It looked pretty sore.
Garner is pretty amazing at what he does.
 Emma really was so brave.
 The final product.
After that Garner redressed Ellie's hand for me.  It was so hard for me to see Ellie's hand for the first time.  It really was a lot more mangled than I thought it would be.
I broke into tears.  I felt really bad that I didn't hold it together but it was so hard for me to see for the first time.  I quickly turned Ellie away from it so that she wouldn't have to see it.  Garner quickly bandaged my baby up and we were on our way.
Two out of five kids in stitches.  Thats good odds right?!?

Valentines Dinner and Dance

Jeron and I had the rare opportunity to attend a dinner and dance for Valentines.  Our good friends the Hales own a Wedding rental company and because they do they get to go to Thanksgiving Pointe's Valentines dinner and dance.  This year they snagged 6 tickets and we were lucky enough to be selected  to go.  They craziest part of the night was that Jeron and I had never danced so this would officially be our first dance together.  Who would think in 15 years we actually have a 1st.  We had a great time.  It was fun to get out, even though leaving Ellie was hard.  Thank goodness grandma Jan and Grandpa Gene live close to Thanksgiving Pointe.  We were able to take the kids there and they  babysat for us.
We got this adorable picture together.  I would like to think that Jeron is sweetly looking at me but in all reality the camera kept giving him creepy looking eyes so Misty finally just told him to look at me.
Dan and Misty got all decked out.  Misty had on a formal dress and looked so good in it.  Dan had on his sweet valentines tie.
Monae and Doug were a bit late but the made it and we had a wonderful time with them.
It really was such a fun night.  Even though I felt bad leaving Ellie so quickly after surgery it was certainly well worth it.
We had a blast all night and to top the night off we took our turn in the photo booth.  Even "old" peeps can have fun in a photo booth.

Sweet Heart attack

Ellie received the cutest heart attack today.  Her sweet activity day girls put up sweet get well hearts all over the door.  It made me cry.  It was extremely touching.

Valentine's day Cards

JJ was very much against any kind of Valentine from him this year.  I finally talked him into doing a mathematical one.  He gave in and I think it turned out great.
Emma's proved to be a bit tricky for me.  The wind was not helpful so we couldn't do it outside but it still turned out cute.
Hands down Ellie's is my favorite one this year.  It turned out so cute but Ellie wasn't too impressed with it.
I loved every version of Elsie's card and can't pick which one I like best.
This baby and puppy melted everyone.  How sweet are they.
This is what I love for Valentine's.  I hope you enjoy as well.
