This year Emma has been taking Jazz instead of Ballet. She liked it but didn't love it. She is more of a Ballet type girl. We got to go to her recital tonight. She did really well. Even more impressive was the fact that our girls have been practicing all year long to "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" and they danced to "Santa has a Brand New Bag". The music didn't work right so they had to improvise and dance to a whole different song. I was really impressed that they did it.
At the end of the recital she has all the girls come back on stage. The teacher forgot to have the Jazz girls come back out. She really was having a hard night. Poor girl does it all on her own. It really is a lot of work. Needless to say, she stopped the whole crowd from leaving to let our girls come out. I have been thinking about pulling Emma out, so this is kind of a awkward note to leave on. I hope Emma has fond memories of dance. I know I will.
Emma and her proud Daddy.

Grandma and Grandpa with our little lady
Grandpa John with the star of the hour.
It was even his birthday. Lucky Grandpa got to see his granddaughter perform on his birthday.
Emma and Bailey
Emma did such a great job. It was a rough night for all. Our video camera didn't work so we will never get to watch this one again:(

Wow, a lot of troubles! Glad she did so well though. Wish I could have seen it. Mara will have her first dance recital in the spring. Just got to see what their costumes will look like. Purple, sparkly, fluffy...everything a girl could love. It makes me excited seeing Emma's recital.
P.s Caleb just said how fun, Emma and Baylee are in the same class.
I wish we would have known about it before the day before- you need to be in charge next year of telling us about it.
We're ballet girls over here too. After a year and a half, Molly has her first show in the spring...can't wait!
