wHat tO do?
I just finished making cupcakes and sat down at my computer to take a look at my new photoshop when I hear the oven open, shut, open, shut. I ask Emma where is Ellie. Emma tells me she is over by the oven. I go in to find Ellie putting a whisk in the cupcake batter in the OVEN! My oven is at 350 degrees cooking my cupcakes. She is innocently standing there eating the batter off of the whisk and smiling. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep her from getting burned. S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y. That girl has someone watching out for her is all I can say. YIKES! I am sure my heart will start soon.

I just held my breath ready your post...my heart started beating...I am so glad she is okay! I guess that would be the easiest way to get some batter right!!!!
I would suggest an oven lock. OR maybe you could just get floor to ceiling gates for the kitchen...that couldn't cost much or look to bad right?!
That really scares me! You're going to have to put a lock on the oven especially when you're cooking. I'm glad she didn't climb on top of the door to get more of the batter. Ugh Ellie!!! No more!
Omigosh! How did she not get burned? How did she reach it? Is that before we arrived? Glad she is ok. I think there are oven locks. I have one, but it only works when I am cleaning it. I wonder if there is a way to lock it when cooking?
Yikes! That little Ellie :) Oven lock for sure. We had one once and it was easy to operate and cheap too!! Glad all is well!
I have no advice there, but I totally understand Ellie. Batter is soooo yummy. :)
Oh my gosh, yes I would say and oven lock. Jackson is just as oblivious to things like burning hot ovens too.
Two words: Oven lock. Kate almost gave me a heart attack when she opened the oven while I was baking...me cooking? I know, strange, but I was :) Anyway, ever since we've had the oven lock life has been great--no more almost heart attacks.
I tell my MIL that Ian has angels watching over him. She says I have angels watching over me and therefore him. I'm grateful for all of them. Sounds like you and Ellie have some of your own angels.
Yep, oven lock.
Oh my goodness! I'm so glad she's okay! That made my heart beat too, and I wasn't even there! It sure looks like an oven lock is in your future--
What a strong little tootsie to be able to get that heavy door open...but can you blame her for wanting to eat it now and not wait??? I want to know how you like your new photo shop? Did you get to play with it much?
Holy Cow!! You need to make a little book of "Ellie Scares"!! I'm so glad she is okay and that she got her chocolate! I'm so excited for you to learn photoshop, call me if you get stuck!
What a scare! I'm glad she is okay. That is awesome you are learning photoshop...I'm learning right now too so we'll have to share secrets!
