Forgotten Carols
One of our favorite things to do at Christmas time is to see the Forgotten Carols. Jeron and I have always done this as a couple and this year we decided to go with JJ and Emma. It was so much fun to hang out with them and share a tradition that we love. We wondered if they were old enough yet to understand. During intermission JJ said to me "Mom, I almost cried." I think he is old enough to understand. If you haven't seen this before you really should go. It just helps to remind us all what Christmas is about.
What a great night, I hope to make this a tradition that keeps on going. After the show they let you meet the cast and talk with them. JJ and Emma were excited to meet Michael McLean. He was so cute with them. Michael grew up with my Dad and so he told the kids he has been friends with him for 45 years. The kids jaws dropped. They thought they had met a real famous person. JJ wondered how much the autographs were worth. I don't think he understands that things in Utah are not so popular everywhere else. Kids are too cute.
Thanks JJ and Emma for making our tradition that much better. LOVE YOU!

Do you bawl as much as I do in that thing when they hold hands at the end and sing "we can be together forever some day?" It gets me every time.
I love that CD! I wish that I would have gone to see the show at least once before I was exiled! Oh well, it will just be an excuse to go home for Christmas one year. We took Sam and Noah to "Saviour of the World" one year, and they really liked it. They were probably JJ and Emma's age. It's amazing just how perseptive they are.
How fun to take your big kids. I haven't been to that in probably 10 years but I love listening to the music. What a fun way to kick off the Chrismtas Season!!
That is one of our favorites!! It's so neat that your kids are getting old enough to enjoy things with you guys, that is one thing we are looking forward to.
What a wonderful tradition! Forgotten Carols is one of my favorites, and although we can't go see it here, we do get together every year and read it.
JJ is quite an amazing young man.
What a great tradition...and how fun to start sharing it with your kids too. I'm sure they'll remember it forever!
