Carving Pumpkins

We have a lot of work ahead of us!

Getting all the guts scooped out is hard!

Look at that determination.

Almost done, keep going.

The finished product.

We call Elsie "Boo" so Jeron had me make her a "BOO" pumpkin.

Emma decided this year to not use a pattern and make her own. She drew out a picture of what she wanted and then set to work. I think she did a great job.

Ellie picked out this cute bat. It was really the only sweet one out of all the pictures. I think it totally fits her.

JJ is getting to be a really great carver. He was determined to do it all himself this time. He did really good. Especially considering that it is his first time. The witches head fell off at one point but be secured it back on. It turned out wonderful.

Look how fun they look all lit up.

Jeron is by far the best carver in our home. He always does a fantabulous job.

This is my treat bowl. I put lights inside it and it illuminates the word treat. Pretty Cool

We love to carve pumpkins. The mess is fun to play in. The kids look like pumpkins after and we love it. Pumpkin seeds are everywhere. The kids get to be creative and it is fun to see their minds at work.

Fun! You guys look like you had a blast! I can't believe JJ did that by himself. This year we went simple. We did like Emma - made our own faces. Both my kids drive heaved (sp) gutting the pumpkins. I hate that part too.

I missed carving pumpkins this year. Too much other random stuff going on. Next year it will be a must! And you look adorable in your treat picture!
