First day of recovery

Last night was a very long night. Elsie cried almost every 30 minutes. Any time we had to move her she would scream. I could tell that this just wasn't right. I literally got no sleep and Jeron was about as rested as me. It was going to be a long day and Elsie was miserable. I felt so bad for her.  I called and could not get an appointment for her.  My dad was able to get her an appointment at PCMC Fracture clinic at 4 pm that day.  I was so relieved because I knew something wasn't right.
For breakfast she opted for a "tortilla with cheese with ketchup on it cut like a pizza."  Today she was getting whatever she wanted.  So that is what she got.
We threw the towel in.  It was just one of those days.
When we got back Elsie was greeted by a brand new ride.  Papa had arranged for a wheelchair for her.  He even made a little stand for her to put her leg up on.  Elsie was so happy to get outside.  Of all of my kids she is my most active and loves being outside.  This really is going to be tough on her.
Side note:  The doctor did confirm my suspicions .  They did not wrap her leg right and that is why she was in so much pain.  Since she has had the new soft cast it has been a night and day difference.  The doc did still ask me why I brought her in today when they said to bring her in a week.  I simply said "I knew something wasn't right."  Her answer to that..."hum"  WHATEV...
