HOLD the phone...no need to wonder anymore...I have just won MOTHER OF THE YEAR! Just wait, you will have to agree with me on this one.
It is Ellie's preschool day. I get her all ready. Dress her in a really cute outfit. Pink was the mood of the day. Do her hair really cute, and get her breakfast. Bundle her up and send her to school. I walk her in hang up her coat and kiss her goodbye. Oh how sweet you are thinking, but ordinary Mom things, oh just you wait! I then ask one of the Moms to take her home because my car isn't starting very easily. I go home and take a nap...YES! I was able to take a half hour nap. When the doorbell rings I go to welcome my sweet angel home. She walks in with the biggest grin on her face holding...
What is that...a VALENTINE'S sack! Oh S#!$! I totally forgot to send her with her Valentine's. She is my one kid that can't say "oh, Mom you forgot to get Valentine's." Oh ya I took a freakin' nap while my daughter had to sit and watch everyone else hand out Valentine's because her lame Mom can't remember to put hers in her bag and doesn't even register that it is the Valentine's party. OH my, do I feel the guilt for this one. I don't think the Mother of the Year Committee will be knocking down my door this year. Hey at least she was in pink!?! RIGHT?
Okay I have been meaning to post this for a while now. Maybe subconsciously I don't want anyone to see it so that is why I have taken so long.

Stop it! You are so hard on yourself although I love reading how you describe it. It makes me laugh. I can picture your reaction perfectly when she got home!
So sorry they are all sick. Bummer valentines day for you all.
Way to go JJ. My kids are the biggest nightmares at the dentist!
Emma is a trooper. Glad things weren't more serious. And yes, I think the teacher should have called. A knocked out tooth....come on!
Phew! Am I all caught up now?
Don't be so hard on yourself, at least she probably doesn't care as much as the other kids!! Really, I've done far worse, I almost have to remind myself that Jackson is still with us when we go places because he hardly makes a sound.
You totally make me laugh! I know you probably felt like a loser but honestly I bet she didn't even hardly notice. She got candy and that's what matters right, and she looked cute while getting the candy, even more important! When Cameron was in preschool they had a water party, dress in swimsuit and bring in towel well he came home soaking wet in his levi shorts-oops, my bad!! It happens to us all but thanks for making us all feel normal!
I am not good at sewing- you could prob show me more than I can you... but I will totally share my knowledge =)
I'm sorry to hear all your kiddos have been sick. I hope everyone is feeling better. I swear this winter is cursed with sickness--it's everywhere!
And I'm going to have to agree with the comment above. I bet all the kids cared more about the candy than the actual Valentines. So you are still in the running for Mother of the Year :)
Don't beat yourself up...we ALL forget things!
