Disneyland and California Adventure Day 3

We got up early and got to the most magical place on earth before it even opened.  We were on a mission today.  We were doing Toon Town, characters, and then California Adventure the rest of  the time.  The one thing we did not plan on was HEAT!  It was almost 100 degrees that day.  We were so hot.  We were also tired from all the fun we had the two prior days.  Heat and exhaustion do not mix well for kids or parents.

We headed straight into the park and got held up by the ropes.  They hold people back until the park officially opens.  We waited and then ran to Toon Town.  Toon Town doesn't open until noon.  NOON!  It was already so hot.  Noon would be even that much hotter.  Toon Town is my favorite picture spot which means my favorite spot.    Once we realized it would be a little while before we could go there we headed over to Small World for one last go around.  Before we headed over we got side tracked by a red head.  The girls were so excited to meet Brave.  I don't even think they know her name is Merida.  She is Brave to them..  Ellie was cute.  At one point she showed Merida her hair and held hers and said "Same"  It was so cute.
How could she stand the heat in all that hair.
It was time to feed the baby so we headed over to Small World.
Next was Toon Town and my suspicions were correct.  It was too blasted hot.  I was pretty bummed about this.  But through all of that I got my favorite family pic of Disneyland.
Love this family.
We went on the Rodger Rabbit ride and my kids didn't even know who/what that was.  Hmmmm
Love these silly pics
Love this face...  So tough
This picture is beautiful.  I love that Ellie is looking at Daisy.

Toon Town is such a goofy place, I really wish that I hadn't let the heat get to me.  I had the worst attitude there.
This is a pic we took years ago.  JJ was up on top waiting for us and he got in trouble and told to get down.  It was kind of  bummer.
After waiting in line for awhile we got to meet Minnie Mouse.  She is a doll.  The girls loved her.  JJ was cute he took tons of pics for me.

Not only is it fun to meet Minnie but it is also fun to see her adorable house.  We love the photo bomber in the pic.
Next it is off to Mickey's house.  Aren't these two married already???  Why do they have separate houses.

Here is Mickey picture overload but each kid needs a special cameo with the guy.
Emry loved his face it was so adorable.  JJ loved being the one to introduce her to Mickey.
Elsie was worried about seeing Mickey again.  She asked me if she should go and say hi or if that was rude because she already met him.  I thought that was adorable.
Now the moment that Mickey and Ellie had was priceless.  Mickey LOVED Ellie.  It was the sweetest thing.  They touched noses at one point.  It just made us smile.

Emma was her adorable self.  Big hugs from Mickey
The whole gang with the big Cheese
Riding the toon town roller coaster.
Before we even came to Disneyland people told us we had to get a Turkey leg.  I think this was the thing that Jeron was most looking forward to.  You can smell them all through the park and they smell amazing.  On day three Jeron decided today was the day.  So he didn't want to share so he got two.  One for him and one for us.  We couldn't believe the size of these things.  So we all took a bite and we ALL thought it was disgusting.  It didn't even taste like turkey it tasted like ham.  It was not good at all.  We ended up throwing most of them away.  I felt kind of bad for Jeron because he really was excited about it.  Crazy thing though, if you saw other people eating them they would lick the bone clean.  I don't know what our problem was.
What is Disneyland without a little ear actoin.
We were just headed over to pirates because Emry needed to nurse and we ran right into Tiana.  She was the only character that we saw that wasn't surrounded by "secret service agents"  It was so nice to just walk up to her and ask her for her pic.  She was beautiful.
I  thought about not putting this in the mega load of pictures but since it was our very last pic at Disnyland I felt I should.  Plus, she is adorable.
We went back to California Adventure for the rest of the day.  Our first stop was Little Mermaid and then we went to Toy Story.  After we sat in some shade and ate some yummy Mickey suckers.  That man in the background shows just how exhausting three days of this is.  Haha.
We found this lady and figured even though we didn't know who she was we would get our pic.  We would hate to see a movie and go "oh shoot, we should have gotten a pic with her because she is someone."  Turns out she isn't anyone.  She is "a citizen of California Adventure"  what ever that means.
Thank goodness for water!!!  It wasa nice little breather to take.  The girls got soaked and loved every minute.  They kept begging JJ to come but he was not feeling it.
|But they sure made sure he did "feel" it.
We decided to go to the play Aladdin.   This gave the boys an opportunity to go on the bigger rides.
The play was amazing.  I would recommend you go to it if you get the chance.  We then went around and got fun pics of all the places we had been.
We also went on the Monsters Inc. ride.  It was cute like Little Mermaid.
One of the funniest moments from the trip was Ellie eating her cotton candy.  She had been begging us for one the entire time.  We finally got her one and she enjoyed every moment of it.
Jeron insisted that I go on the cars ride.  It was such an awesome ride.  But even cooler than the ride is the scenery.  They have done an amazing job of making it look just like you were in Radiator Springs.

We really had such a great time in Disneyland and California Adventure.  It is always fun to take little kids and see how they light up at all the magic.  I guess we will need to come back in about four to five years for Emry.  Until then Snows OUT!
