Packs Pumpkin Patch

I would be lying if I said we had a wonderful time. The kids were at each other from the moment we got in the car. JJ took off and explored pumpkins on his own and I really was thinking what a rotten day and what rotten kids.  It wasn't until we were there and settled in that things got better.  JJ finally lost his attitude and the smiles started to come out on the kids.  It turned out to be a fun time...after they all took off their grumpy pants.

We are kind of boring because we only let the kids pick one pumpkin each.  Carving usually turns into Jeron and I carving two or three each while JJ and Emma carve their own.  That is plenty for me to handle so one is all you get.    Elsie is on a kick that she is capable to do anything.  She decided she was in charge of the wheelbarrow.  Right you go girl!

Packs is fun because it is small.  You aren't running from this to that.  There is only a few things to do and it is nice to not have a million things the kids can do.  One of my favorite things is the picture ops.
Here we have my two men.
These pictures are so out of order but I am lazy and really far behind in my posting so we are just going to jump around.  Okay!  Elsie found a pumpkin almost as big as her.  Again, she had to do it herself.  Silly little lady.

I just got a new small camera and I am not very good with it yet.  Apparently we take pictures really far back now.

I really do like this guy.  First off he is extremely HOT!  But second he is perfect shade for me.  What a sweet guy.  ALways looking out for me.
JJ turned his frown upside down and now we are having a better time.  I love my only boy.  (maybe that is why there was a frown, it is tough being the only boy,)

Poppins found a perfect pumpkin.  She really has good taste in pumpkins.
Ellie found her pumpkin pretty quick.  She was over it from that point on.  She did enjoy herself again once we made it over to the maze.
My cute little pumpkins.  Happier now that mom made a scene right in the middle of the pumpkin patch.  Something about not liking our spoiled family.  Wanting to go home and forget about carving pumpkins.  Ungrateful kids. yada, yada, yada.  That usually makes them shape up.
JJ always likes to find the biggest.  The only rule is he has to be able to lift it onto the wheelbarrow himself.  This year due to some frowning issues he left his really big one and picked up a secondary one because he didn't want to be bothered with the whole pumpkin picking ordeal.  Blessed teenage years are fast approaching.
Silly little witches
Emma has very specific requirements for her pumpkins.  It has to be unique and perfect.  Okay then, off you go.  Apparently this one fit the bill.  (After search 5000)
Mommy witch and baby witch

All of my kids love playing tag in the maze.
Ellie is hilarious because she loves to be "it".
Dad helps Elsie run the maze.

Emma's choice in men scares me a bit.
Following in her sisters footsteps.

JJ was too cool for these pics and Ellie was just plain scared of them.  So they are not pictured with creepy statues.

Family Pics at the Patch

By the time we left I liked my family again and they were all in better moods.  Now off to the carnival we go.
