My neighbor's little girl had this really cute skirt on the other day. She told me her sister made it so I asked if I could borrow it for the day. I spent about an hour cutting and sewing...and here are the results.

I LOVE IT! So easy and so cute. If I can do it anyone can. It is always so fun to put together some scraps you have lying around and get this out of it.

Ellie is in love with it. She is so cute, the minute she put it on she started dancing and shaking her hips. I just love this girl.

mOre nEw pLay dRessEs...tOo cUte

I have to say that right now I am pretty impressed with myself. I was looking on line at Emma and Avery wishing and hoping that I would be able to get one of the dresses when I realized that I could try to make it...so I did. The one Ellie is wearing is the same one. I really am very proud of myself. I did it without a pattern. Yes if a seamstress looked at it she would die...but for me it is wonderful. Emma's was a version of Ellie's. I think she could wear hers to church. She is dying though because she loves it so much she wants to wear it as a play dress. She will win...I think.

oNe wOmen's gArbaGe is aNothEr giRls treAsuRe

I helped my Mom clean out her closet this week. She had a lot of dresses that she was getting rid of. This turned into a project for me. I took her old dresses and made the girls skirts. I think they turned out pretty cute and the girls love them. Yeah for cleaning and free play skirts!

The best part is that they only take about 15 minutes to make and the girls wear them all the time. The only bad part is convincing them to not where them when we leave the house. Emma pointed out that the blue on even twirls. We all know that makes for an awesome skirt when your six.
