Brigham City Temple

Monday nights are getting harder and harder to have family night. I got an email at about 4pm that our ward was going to the temple for family night with the young men.  I quickly called Jeron and he was on board.  So we hurried and changed all the kids into their sunday best and headed out for our drive to Brigham City.  I love being able to go inside the temple with my kids.  I love being able to talk to them about what they are seeing and explain why it is such a wonderful place.

This temple did not disappoint.  We got a different experience this time.  We went on the wheelchair tour.  (okay not that much different, just JJ and Elsie went in the elevator and they clean off the tires before they go in.)  They have a temple approved chair that you use.  It was nice for when we toured the grounds because it fit both Ellie and Elsie.  The inside of the temple was BEAUTIFUL!  I loved all the pictures on the walls.  There was one of Mary and Joseph that I HAVE TO HAVE!  Brigham City is known for their peaches and they have a beautiful painting of a woman picking peaches.  It made me tear up a bit.  Not only was the temple beautiful but the people were so kind.  I could feel how excited they were for a temple in their area.  They really are a sweet community.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the night.  Salt Lake Temple is my favorite temple and always will be but this is definitely my second favorite.
I hope if you get the chance you will go to an open house of a temple in your area.  There is such a peace inside of the temple.  Plus, if your curious about our temples you get a chance to see exactly what I see whenever I go.
