I was listening to my songs while I was feeding the babe...Tiny Dancer by Tim McGraw came on and I was reminded of what I use to think the song said. It wasn't until Tim did his version of the song that I ever knew the words. Elton John didn't enunciate his words as well as Tim did. I thought it said "Hold me closer Tony Danza...Lay me down in sheets a blending." Don't ask me why I thought this. I knew Elton was gay, but I wondered why Tony Danza. I didn't know what sheets a blending meant and didn't want to know. When Tim sang it a light went on and finally I can belt out that song and not sound like a complete idiot.(Except for the tone deaf voice that comes out when I do sing) For those of you who were in the dark like me it is "Hold me closer Tiny Dancer (hence the name of the song)... lay me down in sheets of linen." That makes a lot more sense doesn't it.
Here is what Ellie was doing while I fed Elsie. Wish me luck with this one.

Good luck with Ellie! We have a flat top stove too. Ian used to climb on it all them time. Too bad for him one time it was on and he got a very severe 2nd degree burn on his whole hand!
Ellie is a stinker! I can just see her getting mad at you for telling her no! She is silly, but you gotta love her!
PS... what is the deal with Elsie having Elf ears like Ryan???? hmmm.... you have some explaining to do!
Oh Ellie! Um, so I don't know that song, but that story is hilarious!!! I have heard that Elton has a crush on Tony!
Oh my gosh . . . really good luck!
oh ellie is sooo cute... and your kiddos at the baptism... they are sooooooooo cute! I was joking around with them, and called them fred and sally... so tell fred and sally i said hello!!!!!!!!
Ha! You make me laugh!! Thanks for the kind words you left on my blog but seriously you know you rock at everything!! And Ellie is too funny. She always makes me smile just like her mommy!!
You crack me up. Now I won't be able to hear Tony Danza's name without chuckling. As for Ellie...I'm thinking future rock climber or gymnast.
I do that all the time with songs. :) And, elsie is BEAUTIFUL! All your kids are so cute!
I can't even tell you how many times I have made up my own words to songs! Sometimes they actually sound better that way. I love the pics of Ellie. She was having a great time!
You're hilarious! GOOD LUCK!! Your kids easter pictures are darling. It looks different with 4 kids!! What a cute family!
I do that with songs all the time! But usually somebody else corrects me and I feel like a idiot! BTW cute easter pics, my mom bought my girls those same matching easter dresses. Also way to big....but now I can do the matchy, matchy thing...yeah!
Funny! I do that all the time with songs too. Your family is so adorable!
I can't remember what song it is or who sings it but for the longest time I thought it was "a corndog in the night"! Which I thought was odd and then later learned it was a cold, dark winter night! Anywho, Ellie looks so dang cute-at least so far I have seen Trix and Bananas in all her mischeiveiousness (I know that is spelled wrong). It could be make-up or toilet water or who knows what!!
Good Luck with that one and on juggling 4 children!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP! You can handle it you are a wonderful Mom. Don't fret over these moments too much. Elle may learn the hard way, but take comfort in the fact that if it happens to be the hard way you will know what to do. You've had some experience there :) Love you!
I'm glad someone else gets the words wrong to songs. Yeah I've heard that kids get into trouble while mom is busy feeding the baby. Yikes! Too cute!!! Cacia
