BASEBALL

Here is who we have been cheering for the past three months

This baseball season was an interesting one. JJ got hit by a pitch early on but seemed to be okay. Next game he got hit pretty good in the arm. He swelled up pretty bad and had a nice bruise for weeks. This scared him todeath and he never really played the same after that.

Also the weather was crazy. We did not have one hot game. Rain was another story. We were rained out of three games, two games were called due to rain, and one was suspended. It was a very wet season, but I will take it over the heat.

These pictures were taken by the team photographer

Emma, Ellie, and Elsie supported JJ at every game. They played on the playground, played dolls on the blanket, got lost, cried, ate a lot of treats, colored, cheered, played soccer, and made lots of friends. One of the fun things was they got meet the Bee from the Bees. They thought that was pretty cool.
JJ had a lot of support this year. Mama and Papa came to a ton of the games. I appreciated this because I was the score keeper. Jeron was late to a lot of games due to work. With four kids I needed the extra hands. JJ was thrilled to have their support. JJ had the whole Meads fam to one of the games including Maren. This was an intense game. The rain was pouring and we were all soaking wet but it was a blast. Besides JJ's parents Ashlee and Smitty were the only troopers that sat threw all the rain. Everyone else went to the car.

The next game he even got to have Ryan come. It was Ryan's first pit stop in Davis County. After the game we all headed to dinner to celebrate the whole family being together.
Uncle David at the last game of the season.
ON the morning of the Playoffs we were sure the games would get canceled due to rain. The sun decided to make a brief appearance so that the boys could play. This must of tricked Mama and Papa cause they both came in short sleeve shirts.

They lost both games in the double header so playoffs came to a quick end. As they were receiving their trophies a monsoon came. We all got drenched. I was worried about Mama, Papa, Grandma, and Grandpa running back to their cars but everyone made it without falling. We were soaked to the skin, but a little rain never hurt anyone.

JJ was cute When he got in the car he said "I am really going to miss baseball." He had a rough start and it looked like he might want to be done by the end, so I was glad to hear him say he would miss it.

Grandma and Grandpa after his last game.
We are sad to see another season pass but excited for carefree summer nights. JJ is so grateful for all the support that he got this year from family. He is hoping that the offer of $50 bucks to hit the ball stands for next season :)

GNO!

Melanie came to town this past week so we stole her way from her family one of the days and headed to Park City. We all went there saying "I have no money. I can't spend a thing" We all walked out of there saying "My husband is going to kill me, I spent way to much."

We had a lot of fun, laughed until we cried, and spent way to much money. It was great to get together. It is hard having one of us in Montana. It makes getting together mean that much more.
Brittany, Joy, Misty, Melanie, and Megan

These pics make me laugh because Britt is on her phone in every pic. She reminds me of all the teenagers out there. They can't ever put their phones down.

The cul-de-sac ladies

Us at dinner. We were worried to ask for a pic. The waiter might charge us for it.

Our poor waiter. He must of been new. Every thing that we asked for he would walk away two steps and then come back and say I am going to have to charge you for that. Poor kid!
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Joy bought a pair of panties. The guy behind the counter held them up and said in a booming voice these are not the .99cent panties they are $1.99. Misty, Melanie, and I laughed liked we were little kids. We were laughing so hard we had to leave the store. I am sure everyone thought we should grow up and act our age. Sometimes it is fun to be silly again.

I will have to say that I have the best time when I am with this ladies. I always get so much out of our conversations. They all have such different views and thoughts that it makes me think in ways that I never have. They all are such great people and have so much to offer each in their own way. I love what I learn. I am glad that I get to surround myself with such amazing women.

OUCH!

I was vacuuming when I noticed that the vacuum was not sucking properly. I turned it over to see what was wrong. When I flipped it back over my finger went into the part where the roller brush is. It hurt so bad.

I don't think I handled it very well though. I kept looking at it and in a really deep voice I would say auuuuuuuugggggh. Now that I think about it I was a big baby.

JJ, Emma, and Ellie became wonderful nurses. They ran all over getting band aides, ointment, water, and even took care of Elsie. What sweet kids I have.

I called Jeron and scared the poop out of him. When I cry on the phone he automatically thinks the worst. Once he realized everything was okay he just kept saying sweet encouraging things to me. I have a great hubby.

Of course I called Dr. Dad and he told me what to do. What would I do without his medical advise. I would have huge ER bills.

When I told my Mom she immediately sent David my brother over to make sure I was okay. She was worried about shock. I don't do well with my own blood. Thanks for that Mom. David didn't even laugh when he saw that it was just a banged up finger. So thank David for not laughing.

It hurts like a mother, but it is great to see how cute my kids can be.

Way too fast of a visit.

We were so excited to have Maren and Ryan come to visit. They came for Michael's graduation. Maren came out for two weeks and Ryan came for a weekend. It was so nice to have a lot of time with Maren. We picked her up from the airport on May 26th and her first pit stop was the doctors office for Ellie. Then we went to Spanky's and had lunch. After that we headed over to Quilters Haven to get some material for a tie quilt for Maren. We worked hard on the quilt and got it done.

We ate out way too much. We sat around way too much. Maren went to way too many doctor appointments. (She was enlightened on how Dr. Sharp is to blame for things:) Maren went to way too many games for her nieces, and nephew. We played the Wii way too much. Dad and Mom spent WAY TOO MUCH money on all of us. We had way too much family time, NOT! We took way too many family pictures. We had way too much fun. We enjoyed each other's company way too much...oh wait there is never too much enjoyment. With us doing way too much of everything how come it felt way too short.
We look way too hot! No make up day.
Way too big of a quilt, but soo cute.

We take this shot way too much.
I think we take this pic every year. We are perfect together.
We both like the opposite camera angle.

Way too sweet

The whole fam. We are way too cute.
We are always sad to see them go. Ellie expressed our emotions perfectly. The morning they left Mama and Papa were coming over to our house. I told Ellie they were coming. The first thing she said was "Oooo Eeee Oooo?" in a very excited voice. I told her that Oooo Eeee Oooo went back to Washington DC and she started to cry.We love to have them here and when they leave it is way too soon. Thanks for the memories! Now I need to catch up on laundry and housework. Way too much neglect.

The Air Show

As you can see by the pictures I didn't go to the air show. I do know that they had a great time. They had to walk for three years or so Emma tells me. They all came back with sunburns. JJ thought it was way cool to see the airplane that Uncle David flies. (They had one on display) It was nice of Ashlee to make sure that pictures were taken so that we have proof that we do fun things with the kids. I don't know who ran with whom but Smitty and JJ beat everyone to the car. No pic of Uncle David but he was there.

I believe this is Maverick, or maybe Iceman?

Good thing that didn't go off

Daddy with the kids

Smashlee

Don't shoot!

Run for cover!
Two really cute kids.

Just a totally awesome picture

sChOol's oUt fOr sUmmEr!

I wondered how this year would end. Last year JJ was crying and Emma was confused. I don't remember ever crying. I was thrilled for this day. It was a right of passage. It was the reward for working so hard. Never once, not even my senior year did I cry that school was over. So I am a bit confused by my children and their lack of enthusiasm.

I had to go to the closing ceremony to see if this year my kids could hold it together. Who can blame them for crying, this means that Mom will make them her slave. Hahahahahaha(that was an evil chuckle)

I get there and they are already lined up. I go find each of my kids and spirits seem to be up.

They have a closing ceremony and lower the flag. Someone sings the National Anthem. Then they sing the Eagle Bay song. During all of this it starts to rain. Not a cloud over head but there is rain. Then I go and find my kids and sure enough as I am searching I see kids crying all around me. I was sure I would find the same thing with my kids. I am glad to report I was wrong. JJ was all smiles. Emma was a bit sad, but no tears. Finally my kids are happy to get to spend more time with me. That is why they are happy! Right?

I was worried at this point because Ms Tia started to break down. I thought this would send Emma over the edge but she held strong.

We are looking forward to the sun, playing, swimming, hiking, riding bikes, free time, and just enjoying every minute. Here's to summer!

tOoth fAiRy tiMe

Emma came in to me after school and said "Mom, I have a loose tooth." I told her to let me look at it. I gave it one good yank and she no longer has a loose tooth. She had mentioned that she wanted a dollar this time. I think she thinks the gold dollars that the tooth fairy brings are not the same as a paper dollar. We have one smart tooth fairy. She brought Emma a gold coin and a paper dollar. Emma was elated. The most important part though is of course the color of the fairy. Drum roll....

GREEN

Emma is certain that means her fairy was Tinker Bell herself. I think she might be right.
